€10,000 voucher for smarter and cleaner inland shipping with the BDI
Is your company part of a cargo coalition organised by Stichting MHS? If so, you can apply for a € 10,000 voucher to start sharing data digitally with other participants. The voucher can be used to connect your company to the MHS dataspace: the digital environment in which participants exchange information on cargo, planning and transport.
The connection is established using the BDI Connector. It connects your company’s own IT environment to the MHS dataspace, enabling data to be exchanged automatically. Companies do this based on the agreements set out in the Basis Data Infrastructuur (BDI) governance framework, which provides secure, reliable and standardised data sharing.
In a cargo coalition, companies combine their cargo flows. This creates sufficient and predictable volumes to make transport by water more efficient and attractive. Within the Living Lab Smarter and Cleaner Inland Shipping, these companies work together on both transport operations and the digital collaboration needed to support them. By making up-to-date information available, participants can better coordinate their planning and gain greater visibility into cargo and transport movements.
What are the benefits?
Better and more up-to-date data sharing can improve the predictability of transport operations and enable more efficient use of vessels and capacity. This can help reduce transport costs. At the same time, participants contribute to the further development of the MHS dataspace as the digital foundation for smarter and cleaner transport by water.
Who is eligible?
The voucher programme is intended for companies that are part of a Stichting MHS cargo coalition and are taking the next step towards digital data sharing.
To qualify, your company must invest in implementing the BDI Connector provided by Stichting MHS. You must also exchange data automatically from your own production environment with other participants in the MHS dataspace. Following go-live, this data exchange must continue for at least one month.
