Optimum coordination
If you want to optimise goods transport and compete with logistical service providers worldwide in the near future, you need to be able to exchange information quickly. You can do so by offering this information (data) digitally. This is already happening, but at the moment this information is often still exchanged one-to-one, partly because systems from various organisations are often unable to communicate.
Imagine connecting your IT-systems once and being able to have application-interfaces 24/7 with all your business partners? The BDI framework enables this. Notifications of relevant events, controlled automated data exchanges between organizations limited to need-to-know data, digital proof of transactions and declarations: the soft infrastructure to do business.
Data under control of the owner
One key agreement under the BDI is that data always remains at the source. This means that you can only view digital information if the owner of that information has given you permission to do so.Notifications of relevant events
All relevant parties involved in your work will automatically be notified if anything happens, whether you are loading cargo, unloading or performing another logistics process. This will also happen if anything unexpected occurs, so you can respond to issues in a timely manner.- Meld je aan!
Local trust networks
When you sign up for the BDI, you can register with subnetworks of trusted business partners (BDI associations). You can then make additional, more specific agreements within the boundaries of the BDI framework.
