Core Principle 4: Dynamic Data Life Cycle

In the BDI Framework, data relevant to operational activities undergoes a dynamic life cycle, reflecting the fluid nature of real-world coordination and processes.

Dynamic Data Life Cycle

Operational data progresses through various stages as activities unfold, including (but not limited to):

  • Requested
  • Accepted
  • Planned
  • Modified Plan
  • In Transit
  • Delivered
  • Registered/Logged
  • Proof of Compliance
  • Confirmed

Implication

The BDI Framework recognizes and accommodates the fluidity and evolving nature of these stages, acknowledging that the same data element may pass through multiple stages that are important to track and register. This understanding ensures that the BDI Framework is adaptable to the changing needs and realities of operational coordination, providing a robust structure that supports the dynamic nature of business processes.

A second implication is the fact that the BDI allows for the application of specific semantics and rules of engagement.
