1.2 Governance of the BDI: adopting BDI initiatives
Setting up governance for the Basic Data Infrastructure means recognising the diverse roles in the ecosystem — from end users to infrastructure providers — and finding ways to align their needs and responsibilities. In this session, we will explore key questions and perspectives around building a sustainable, stakeholder-driven governance model that can support long-term collaboration. The BOMOS methodology offers practical tools to guide the design of a governance structure that is both flexible and future-proof.

Jack van Grunsven - Data in Logistics
Since 2024, I have been working as a project manager within the DIL programme. I am responsible for several tasks within DIL.
Task 1: I lead Work Package 1, which focuses on documenting and making available all components of the BDI – including reference software, best practices, and practical experiences.
Task 2: Together with others, I am setting up and structuring a governance and maintenance organisation for the BDI.
In my spare time, I enjoy working on classic cars and motorcycles, and I serve on the boards of two associations and one foundation.
