1.1 Training BDI Fundamentals: basics and principles of the BDI framework
As part of our ongoing efforts to introduce the Basic Data Infrastructure (BDI) to IT professionals, we regularly offer the ‘BDI Fundamentals training’. In this breakout session, we’re now offering a condensed version of this training. You’ll get a clear overview of federated data sharing, the application of BDI in logistics, and the technical foundations needed for implementation. We’ll also briefly touch on the business opportunities BDI offers for IT service providers. A perfect way to quickly understand what BDI is, why it matters, and how it can be applied in practice.

Since 2022, I have been leading the development of the Basic Data Infrastructure (BDI) within the DIL program as both architect and team lead. I manage expert teams, monitor progress, oversee budgets, and develop training programs to ensure the sustainable application of the BDI. In doing so, I facilitate secure and efficient data sharing between public and private parties.
